Assignment 2 Part 1- The Machine Stops

• Did anything in this story feel familiar? Did anything seem distant or difficult to understand? Everyone was locked up in there own personal space, which relates us to what happen during the horrible time of covid when we were all in quarantine. Something that was a little difficult to understand was the time period they were in and how long they have been living with the machine.

• Why do you think we would we read such a story in a computer programming class? We read this so we can acknowledge the great outdoors and nature that we have. Even though we are progressing in a technological world we, wouldn’t want to be able to live in a world where we breathe false air, scared of the sun. We should live in balance with technology and the world with mother nature.
